Today my mom and dad took me to a place that is special to them. It was a place they went when they were dating, and they got their wedding pictures taken there. It is a series of cliffs with panaromic views of the city, the foothills and the very tall snowcapped ranges beyond.
Well, my first smile captured on camera, that is.
What is the most ridiculous thing about this picture? The fact that I am smiling about a pile of laundry? Or the fact that my mom put me in a pile of laundry in the first place? Personally, I think the most ridiculous thing is that she put me in a pile of laundry and then took a picture. (A rather poor quality one, I might add.) I had to redeem the situation, so I flashed my mega-watt toothless grin, and made first-smile magic.
Plus, watching her fold all the clothes while I just sit there is pretty funny.
Just look at this! Here is my first bath, when I was a mere two weeks old, as compared to last night’s bath.
I suppose being a plump little healthy seven week old is a good thing, but mom keeps talking about how little I used to be. I have a feeling she will always say this. I mean, hello, I am still technically pretty small. I can’t even sit up on my own yet! Just wait until I drive the car, then she can really lament.
The sun is pretty important. It sustains life, gives us a tan, can be turned into electricity, and brightens our days… but most importantly, it takes the stains out of my cloth diapers. Sorry to gross you out, but my mom gets pretty excited about it.
Here they are, soaking up the UV rays like a strange row of Buddhist prayer flags.
After an exhuasting day of having to dress like this….
It is nice to take a hot bubble bath….
… and relax in my pajamas with my dad in front of the fire.
I appreciate that my mom is willing to work as my personal photographer. I keep her busy, especially because I demand she keeps me company during my late night “blogging sessions.”
I am grateful for her input…
Today I went down to the hospital to visit Grandma. She had surgery yesterday, and it was pretty extensive and painful, from what I hear. She is a brave lady who has gone through chemo and two surgeries. The doctors are very pleased with the results, though, and we are all very thankful!
