Today was my first Thanksgiving! Last year mom was so bummed I didn’t arrive by Thanksgiving… (but I did come on Black Friday, which mom joked is dad’s favorite holiday.)
From what I can tell, Thanksgiving starts with snuggling with dad and enjoying that he is home from work.
Then, later, snacks are set out while there is a lot of cooking going on in the kitchen.
Then the food is served in heaping piles on your plate.
Then after stuffing yourself with cucumber salad you lounge around the table…..
….. and then watch football with grandma and grampy.
Mom and dad said that all these things are nice, but the point of the day is to remember how much we have to be thankful for…. so I am thankful for momanddad, Twizzle, Cheerios, all my grandparents, and rubber duckies.
In honor of my eleven month milestone yesterday, allow me to brag a little about all the things I have recently learned to do… (besides standing, of course, because I have still eluded mom the shutterbug with that trick.)
I can sit on a chair.
I can play rather forte on the piano.
I can play on the big playground structure and scare mom by going headfirst down the big tunnel slide.
I can be trusted to hold an egg without breaking it.
I can eat while holding a spoon.
Yup. I am capable of some pretty fantastic things. So, now can I have my own iPhone, dad?
Today was my first Father’s Day. Well, I guess it was dad’s first Father’s Day, too.
We went to Vail and drooled over skis,
I have no clue how to use these things. Mom says you need that white snow stuff first.
and ate at a Little Diner, (which is both the name and the description),
The Little Blogger made an appearance at the Little Diner. So fitting.
and then we hiked on something called a mesa. It was like a big flat table top.
Riding on dad's shoulders. Classic.
Happy First Father’s Day, dad! It was a good day, wasn’t it?
