Hello again Boston.

Our travels in the Far East began in Boston, which is a very good place to start.

image

First stop, Copley Square for a little Burdik’s chocolate pick-me-up. (Note the lovely Aunt A in the mirror taking our picture. It was so nice spending the day with Aunt A and giggling Uncle R!!, thanks for hosting us for the night!)

image

Next stop, the Public Gardens.

No visit to the Public Gardens as a tourist is complete without a cliche family picture on the bridge.

We braved the heat and the long line to ride the Swan Boat. Also completely cliche.

It was nice seeing the ducky statues again.

We went across town to the aquarium to see the Giant Sea Turtle…

… and the adorable penguins.

Thanks for a wonderful day, Boston! I’m sure we will be back again soon!

That was a very good day in a very fun city.

A little island adventure.

I visited an island this past week. A very unique island named Nantucket.

My Aunt and Uncle KandK live there, and I got to meet them for the first time.

Aunt and Uncle KandK!!!

I think they are a lot of fun, especially since you have to take a boat to get to their house.

On the ferry to Nantucket.

The blue ocean and blue sky were my favorite parts. Uncle K said that Portugal was out there in the water, but I couldn’t really see that far.

Perhaps I will come again when I don’t have to wear my winter hat. Yes, KandK, I just invited myself back. I won’t take up too much room.

(For clarification, I know I refer to many Aunts and Uncles, but KandK are actually related to me for real.)

Make way for Rowan.

There is this book called “Make way for Ducklings” that my dad reads to me. It is about ducklings named Lack, Mack, Nack, Ouack, Pack, and Quack. They were born by the Charles river then move to the Public Gardens and live on the island in the pond.

This is such an iconic Boston story, and there is a famous statue of Momma Duck and her ducklings in the Public Gardens.

My duckling name would be Rack.

I am their little duckling.

We were “those” people who stop by this statue to take “that picture.”
Mom loved it.

Beautiful day in the Public Gardens.
