The best view at the zoo is from the top of a pair of friendly shoulders.
Up there you are almost as tall a giraffe.
Being that tall makes it easy to get a good view of the baby zebra.
It really is the best view at the zoo.
I highly recommend it.
One can never get enough of the zoo.
The giraffes and hippos are always interesting.
Feeding the lorikeets is exciting and entertaining.
But the very best part of the zoo is that there are bunnies hiding in all the bushes and gardens. Magical.
But maybe the very other best part of the zoo is when I sweet talk dad into buying me a stuffed kangaroo.
I am a lucky girl to get taken to the zoo so frequently. Thanks mom and dad.
Mom, Grandma and I went to St. Louis this weekend. Mom had some oboe thing, but we made it into a big adventure.
It was a very fun weekend, to which this photo diary will attest:
We flew on a plane to get there.
After church we visited a big sculpture park.
After mom’s oboe thing downtown we visited The Arch.
Then we went to the zoo.
The morning before we left, we visited the art museum. (It was full of big echo chambers, which are perfect for shrieking in. You should try it sometime, but not when mom is around, because she gets annoyed.)
Also, we visited the sight of the 1904 world’s fair.
Then I got in my pajamas and we flew home.
Thank you cousin Sharon for hosting us on our big adventure!
It was mom’s birthday a couple of days ago. She begged to go to the zoo, so dad and I took her.
We saw so many animals, but mom said these are the two she enjoyed watching the most:
It was a good day. Happy Birthday, mom.
I hope you enjoyed my first time at the zoo.
