I had my first dance class!
I had to take off my shoes and put them in a little cubby.
Then I had to sit on my little circle and listen to my teacher, Miss Julie.
The mommies got kicked out of the room. They had to take turns peeking into the door to see us jumping around like animals and pointing our toes and tucking and rolling.
I love dance class.
After Mima went into the sky, dad stayed home from work for a whole week.
The first thing we did was to get to where we could look out over the city and mountains that Mima loved so much.
Then we drove up to the big mountains and went on beautiful hikes.
Some hikes I slept through.
Some hikes had water shooting out of rocks.
(The water was loud. It woke me up.)
And some hikes were very short with beautiful views.
It was a good week together as a family, even though we were sad.
There is still so much beauty in the midst of sadness.
I had a wonderful Mima.
I will miss you Mima. I know that you are in the sky with Jesus. I tell mom not to cry because I know you are not in pain and that you are happy. Thanks for being such a great Mima.

SNOW!!!!!!!
Yes. Snow on Mother’s Day!
Mom wasn’t super pleased with my gift. I also don’t think she believed that I made the snow just for her.
Well… okay. I didn’t technically make the snow. Whoever did is a genius, though.
Mom, I think you are as special as a snow storm in May. Happy Mother’s Day!
Sometimes I feel so grown up.
I can dress myself…
(Or at least pick out my own outfits…)
I can push my own shopping cart.
I can do Aunter Gwendie’s makeup.
And I can brush my own teeth.
Growing up is fun.
Dad’s mom and dad came to visit!
Grandpa tells funny stories and calls me silly names.
Grammie cuddles me, buys me clothes, and thinks it is fun to read me my calculus book.
I loved seeing them. I love visiting them and going to Nantucket, but it was fun to have them in my house. Love you Grammie and Grandpa!
Mooey is such a good guy.
He listens when I read him cow stories.
He keeps all my secrets.
He likes me when I’m a bunny.
And he is really good at this whole potty training thing.
Oh Mooey. You are the best rubber bouncing cow, ever.
We stopped by IKEA on Monday night, and I realized a couple of new facts about that place.
There are hundreds of adorable stuffed animals to not buy, and no level of cuteness changes this situation.
It is the worst place to potty train.
Good thing they sell cheap ice cream.
I still love you, IKEA.
Spring is between winter and summer. It is a rather confusing time.
There are flowers and sunshine, but then there is also sometimes snow. It can be warm but the wind is rather chilly.
The only solution is to retain the best parts of winter, lady bug hat and mittens, when the wind blows…
…and leave on only the hat when the sun is bearably warm!
I love the sunshine but I am very much looking forward to summer!
This weekend we did a lot of Easter things.
Plastic egg hunting and gathering.
Real egg painting and decorating.
And, most wonderfully, there was a basket of goodies at my breakfast table.
